Yep. Wasn’t so sure this morning, but have felt more and more back to normal as the day progressed. Phew.

The arthritis has been threatening, but nothing much has been bothering me with it. Just the usual low level stuff. And being tired

Stupid headaches

Well, it seems like my weird migraine-like, spangly vision headaches have returned. I best document what’s going on with them.

A few weeks ago I got up and got ready for work, feeling normal (tired and fed up). Left for work late as it took me a while to get myself going. Drove about half a mile, not even got out of the village when I noticed a fleck in my vision, which, I instantly recognised as the potential start of a migraine. I did a U-turn and got home while I still could. Took a pain-killer and hoped for the best. The spangly vision thing got bigger but eventually cleared, and the really bad headache didn’t arrive – I spent the day curled up on the sofa, feeling groggy and really (read: more) tired. Felt ok, although still a little groggy but made it to work the next day.

Yesterday the same thing happened, although it appeared before I left for work this time – but I was again having a slow start to the day so would have been late. The vision thing was a little bit different though this time. It started as usual as a little dot that got bigger, but instead of staying solid, it became a circle, the centre was kind of clear although shadowy, the spangly bit was very thin around the outside. To explain the spanglyness, its a bit like TV static, where the dots jump about, but it’s short lines and not dots, and as well as black and white, there blue, red and green. It got bigger and bigger, which is fairly normal (but usually solid) but this time instead of stopping, it just kept getting bigger! It got so big it actually went out of my field of view and I was left with the weird feeling of it consuming me and being left in the shadowy middle bit. After that it all went fairly to plan…well, at least like it did last time.

Not good, but could be worse. I did wonder if it was medicine related as this was the morning after I took my methotrexate. I looked up when this happened the other week but it didn’t tie in. Paranoia. Tsk.

There’s not much to report on the arthritis front but I do need to keep this log up-to-date for reference. The aches and pains have been fairly low level and consistent. I’ve just been *really* tired *all* the time.

Yes, there was a bit of a gap in posting there. Been off colour. Went to bed on Wednesday night with bad headache. Woke up on Thursday with the same bad headache…then spent the day being sick :’o( I was out of action on Friday too and only just started feeling a bit better yesterday. I’ve actually started eating again today (by which I mean I’ve had some breakfast…it’s still morning). I just hope the rest of the day brings improvement…at least just the smell of food has stopped making me queasy.

My sfd has been pretty silent throughout. My main problem was just being generally uncomfortable while I’ve been laid up on the sofa – but I put that partly down to the knackered old sofa and being ill…can’t lay that one solely at the sfd’s door.

Again, things have been similar over the last few days. Not that achy but tired and lethargic.

I had the day off work today, but haven’t really got very much done. I have a written piece of work to finish, but I just couldn’t get into it :o(

Not a bad day. Not had many niggles from the arthritis. Felt pretty tired though. Just off to bed but wanted to make sure I kept up my new resolution to keep up this blog.

We’ve got guests staying for the weekend and we’ve had a really nice evening. Had a BB. Feel knackered from all the preparation! I took my alcohol ration to its limit by having two gin and tonics! Shock horror!

Anyway. Bed time.

Work has been quite busy and stressful over the last few months. Today has been my first day off in a long time, I’ve been counting the days until today got here! I can’t say I’ve really achieved anything (got to the hairdressers for the first time in a long while tho) but it’s been nice to not be at work…although I admit to having checked my work email 6 times during the course of the day!!

Health-wise things aren’t too bad. Today I’d say has been a 2. My body seems quite calm…although as soon as I started writing this paragraph I’ve started to get low level shooting pains down the fingers on my right hand! My mind must be doing it…? I’ll ignore it and hope it goes away.

I’ve been *meaning* to spark this blog back into life for some time but can’t seem to muster much energy for much of late. I really am being quite crap. What’s really got me to do it is a need to look for correlations between various events and my sfd. For example, for months now I’ve been having a few bad arthritis days together every so often – my boyfriend swears it happens around the time my period starts – it did this month, but couldn’t say for sure about past months. Will hopefully find out now that I’m getting myself to get back into the habit of noting this kind of stuff down.

Well…hmm… I got a bit fed up with myself, and my sfd, and my keyboard, and the weirdness WordPress seemed to be giving me (I still have about 20 identical posts as ‘drafts’ that appeared from nowhere – not had the energy to go in and delete them all, as I can’t see a way of doing it on mass).

So, I’ve now got a different keyboard and I’m going to give the blog thing another go. I really do want to keep these notes a it’s an important event log.

….let’s see how it goes…
